FAQs

Q: What do I need to rent equipment for the first time?

A: Fill out the New Renter form on our website to set up an account with us.

 

Q: Can I prep/test kit before collection?

A: Yes feel free to get in contact with us and we’ll see if it’s possible to arrange a prep day.

 

Q: Do I need insurance?

A: Yes, every direct rental will need to be covered by insurance. It is the renter’s responsibility to purchase insurance, no gear can be rented through us otherwise.

 

Q: Can I collect and drop off gear outside of the rental period?

A: Yes, you can collect your gear the day before from 3pm and drop it off the day after until 11am.

 

Q: Can I pick up/drop off outside of office hours?

A: Yes, ideally pickup and drop off is carried out within our listed office hours, however we offer an ‘after hours’ service that allows you to pick up or drop off kit outside these hours at an additional cost of £20. 

 

Q: I’m running late, can I return my kit late?

A: Kit can be returned after its allotted rental period until 11am the next day, any returns beyond that should be relayed to Valley Rentals and will incur an additional day onto the bill.

 

Q: Do you do discounts?

A: Yes, we can offer discounts to trusted renters who’ve rented with us before. Just ask and we’ll see what we can do!

 

Q: Are there parking facilities?

A: Yes, parking can be found around the back of our building; we even have access to a loading bay that makes collecting and returning kit hassle free.

 

Q: What’s your nearest tube station?
A: We’re a 5 minute walk away from Acton Central station.

 

Q: Are you able to deliver?

A: Yes, we can deliver your kit for a fee of £45/hr within the M25, and for £55/hr within congestion zones. A fee of £25/hr is charged for small deliveries <10kg that may not necessitate a van for delivery.

 

Q: What do I do if the rented gear is damaged, lost or destroyed?

A: Contact Valley Rentals as your earliest convenience, make your insurance company aware of the situation and we will deal with it.
